Truth in Lending Act (TILA) & Regulation Z Compliance

At Cash Ferry Inc. We are committed to providing clear and transparent financial information to our customers. In accordance with the Truth in Lending Act (TILA) and Federal Regulation Z, this page serves as a summary of the protections and disclosures you are entitled to when financing your purchases through a Retail Installment Contract.

1. Transparent Cost of Financing

Before you finalize your purchase and enter into a retail installment agreement with Cash Ferry Inc., you will receive a formal TILA Disclosure Statement. This document ensures you can accurately evaluate the cost of your purchase by highlighting:

  • Annual Percentage Rate (APR): The cost of your credit expressed as a yearly rate.
  • Finance Charge: The total dollar amount the financing will cost you, including any prepaid finance charges or service fees.
  • Amount Financed: The amount of credit provided to you or on your behalf (the purchase price of the goods or services, minus any down payment).
  • Total of Payments: The total sum you will have paid after you have made all scheduled payments as outlined in the contract.
2. Your Consumer Rights

Cash Ferry Inc. adheres to all federal mandates to ensure your financial safety and clarity, including:

  • Payment & Error Resolution: You have the right to dispute any discrepancies regarding your payment history or account balance. We maintain a standardized process for investigating and resolving these claims promptly to ensure your account reflects accurate information.
  • No Prepayment Penalties: In most jurisdictions, you have the right to pay off your retail installment contract in full at any time without being charged a penalty.
  • Fair Advertising: We ensure all advertised rates and repayment terms are accurate and represent the actual financing products available to qualified applicants for the goods or services being sold.
  • Clear Disclosures: We provide all mandated disclosures in writing before you sign your contract, ensuring you understand your total obligation before committing to the purchase.
3. Coverage & Limitations

TILA protections apply to credit extended for personal, family, or household purposes. Please note:

  • Product Scope: Cash Ferry Inc. specializes exclusively in Retail Installment Contracts for the purchase of specific goods and services. We do not provide cash loans, personal lines of credit, or credit cards.
  • Business Use: These disclosures and protections do not apply to contracts entered into for business, commercial, or agricultural purposes.
  • Coverage Threshold: The threshold for TILA coverage on certain consumer credit transactions is adjusted annually for inflation; as of January 1, 2026, this threshold is $73,400 (this does not apply to transactions secured by real property or private education loans).
